It’s pretty dang normal to see people on the internet. Aside from HTML coding and numbers, people are the foundation of the web. There are many parts of the internet, some good, some bad, some downright awful. All of which are created by people. Coincidentally, Dream Cherry was also made by people.
Dream Cherry is an indie platformers game released on the internet by “Rabid Media”. Games on the internet aren’t hard to come by either. There are flash games, such as Avalanche and the like. Then there are downloadable games, which are usually ten times better then flash games. Now, when I say downloadable games, you might think something along the lines of “I Wanna Be The Guy” or “Cave Story”. Those games are great and all, but there are lesser known games just as great as those that many don’t know. Ergo, Dream Cherry.
Dream Cherry is based upon the NES games of yesteryear that looked like they were made in ms paint. Dream Cherry utilizes this interesting graphical choice, and it helps the atmosphere of the game. Dream Cherry’s platformer aspects are also very much like an NES game. The controls are very smooth and easy to understand, wrap that in with awesome music and sound effects, and you’ve got a winner.
